Silver is an ancient and natural all-purpose healing agent. It wipes out bacterial infections in a safe and clean manner, without compromising our immune system like manufactured antibiotics do.
Colloidal silver consists of silver atoms suspended in distilled ion-less water. The particles of silver are small enough to penetrate on a cellular level through the bacterial cell membrane (Fig.1) and destroy pathogens of all types, including bacteria, fungal spores, parasites, and viruses (Fig.2)
Not only does silver get rid of pathogens, it helps promote rapid healing of the tissues infected or destroyed. Colloidal silver has many applications and is easy to apply. It has no adverse side effects and it leaves beneficial bacteria intact. Recently, there have been reports of argyria (skin turning blue) which have been greatly exaggerated, which is not surprising. The Medical Community has a tendency to blow up rare incidents of minor adverse effects from natural remedies. They blow them up as scare tactic, while ignoring the hundreds of thousands of adverse side effects (reported annually) from correctly prescribed pharmaceuticals medicines.
Silver effectively vanished from the medicinal market in the early 20th century, because it could not be patented and thereby couldn’t fetch extraordinary profits for the pharmaceutical industry. In modern lab tests (e.g. by NCBI), silver is getting its fame back as a safe, multi-purpose bacterial killer. It is known to kill superbugs (e.g. MRSA) and has been tested against 650 common and exotic infections and diseases.

Recently, COHL together with Toulison Nutraceuticals Inc. (The Development & Manufacturing Division of the COHL) completed a short study to test the anti-cancer properties of Colloidal Silver Water (a product manufactured by the Toulison Nutraceuticals Inc.) on migration of human breast cancer cells (wound scratch healing assay). Note: Cell migration is the orchestrated movement of cells in particular directions to specific locations. Whereas, a wound healing assay is a laboratory technique used to study cell migration and cell–cell interaction. This is also called a scratch assay because it is done by making a scratch on a cell monolayer and capturing images at regular intervals by time lapse microscope. Compared to other methods, the in vitro scratch assay is particularly suitable for studies on the effects of cell–matrix and cell–cell interactions on cell migration, mimic cell migration during wound healing in vivo and are compatible with imaging of live cells during migration to monitor intracellular events if desired. Besides monitoring migration of homogenous cell populations, this method has also been adopted to measure migration of individual cells in the leading edge of the scratch. The idea is simple: the stronger the cells are the faster they close the scratch and distance between them and vice versa: if they are affected by some inhibitor/killer their capacity to “heal the scratch” in monolayer capable to is slowing down or does not happen at all. We tested 4 sequential concentrations of Colloidal Silver water to evaluate the dynamics of repairing the scratch area in 24 hour timing point.

In our experiments the protective anti-cancer effect increased proportionally to increasing the concentration of colloidal silver in cell culture media (Fig.3). The data were calculated against the sample (vehicle) with no colloidal silver added.
